The Working-Class Studies Association (WCSA) hosts an annual conference with participation from academics, activists, trade unionists, poets, documentary filmmakers, and more. Each conference is unique to its organizing committee, participants, and location, don’t miss it! 

2022 Conference: Corvallis, Oregon

2021 Conference: Zoom & Youngstown, Ohio

In Spring 2021, the Conference was held online with member collaboration across coasts and oceans: WCSA 2021.  The Conference marked the 25th anniversary of the founding of the WCSA in Youngstown, Ohio, and a few small gatherings were also held there. The theme for 2021 was: Re-Placing Class: Community, Politics, Work, and Labor in a Changing World.

2019 Conference: Kent, England

In Fall 2019, the Conference was held at the University of Kent. This was the first time that the WCSA Conference was held outside of the US. See the Conference program, its fringe festival, and its call for papers. The theme for 2019 was: Working-Class Studies: Beyond the Heartlands.
